This weeks rap:
To be sung to the tune of “The shoop shoop song” (by Cher, you know?)
Are Tahs finished, definitely not
How can you tell, cause we’re in 4th spot
And in the weekends game
Big Waylen came back in
Cooper was untamed
And led us to a win
So if you think we’re gone, you’re thinking is all wrong, we’re back on track
Sumner was a star
And Mitch kept rolling on
Maysie back on par
And then there was Chris Long
So if you think we’re gone, you’re thinking is all wrong, we’re back on track
Timmy just sleighed them
And Sam was tight
Goose, Gav, Culpy set us up
Systems were good and confidence was back
The Tahs are back on track
This week we play the Crocs
On our home patch of grass
Both can’t afford a loss
And I know that won’t be us
Cause if you think we’re gone, you’re thinking is all wrong, we’re back on track
Oh yeah, we’re back on track
Yes we are
We’re back on track
Go the Tahs
We’re back on track

Sunday at Gardens saw the Div 2 boys take on an undermanned Tracy Village team which resulted in a 30 goal win to the Tahs. We are in finals mode at the moment and are looking to play team football at every opportunity. Best, from a very even side, was Kaleb Weight, who was everywhere. Andrew Mungatopi had a day out and kicked a lazy ten majors. Our young guns, Mitch Gray, Andrew McPherson and Rixy, played very well - as did the rest of the team. A special welcome to Holtzy from Canberra, who played his first game for the club - very happy to have a ruckman lob on our doorstep just before finals. With a few players still to come back we are hoping to peak in the next couple of weeks until then…..GO TAHS!

Another disappointing loss for the boys - could have easily turned into a fantastic win. We seem to play well for a 2 quarters of the game and the other two we disappear .Never-the-less we shall prevail. We have three more games left to play and with a lot more self belief I am sure we can win. The three best players on the weekend, Riley Cooper, Sam Godden and Jaya Elesgood -thanks for your efforts. To Charlie Dring, who put his body on the line and took one for the team, I hope you recover in time to finish the season off - we need you!

This was always going to be a tough assignment for our boys. Our game plan was that we were all to contest and put in a 100% effort for four quarters. I am proud to say that that was exactly what the boys delivered. The team was capably lead by captain (Mitchell Har-dy) and vice (Billy Mullan); who each rotated between full back and ruckrover. They both inspired the team with their accountability and attack on the ball and we were unfortunate not to have scored more considering the amount of time we had the play in our forward zone.

It was a grand old flag last Friday.
Come from nearly 4 goals down to beat Saints by 8pts
They showed passion and a never give up attitude.
To come from behind was a wonderful effort by all
Backline was under pressure all game but held their nerve and stood strong
Hard to pick best players as every player did their bit to ensure a victory
This week we take on Sothern Districts 2 another tuff one
If we give all for the 60 mins I’m sure we will be singing that great song once again
See you at the footy Go Tahs! Numma
